Introduction Post

~ Welcome! ~

My name is Angie, but I'll answer to Kasumi as well! I live in Chile, South America. I'm a student of Computer Sciences Engineering...a mix of tons of programming, difficult mathematical courses and some weird classes. My student life is far from being exciting, so I rarely talk about it =P (Instead, I end up talking about fandom stuff; way more entertaining for me xD)

Even though I have quite some character, the most of times I'm rather shy and terribly insecure. It's hard for me to come up with something to talk about and actually, I can come across as quite boring. Despite of this, I try to be a good commenter in LJ, at least.

As you can guess, English isn't my primary language so I'm likely to mess up a lot xDU This isn't that much of a problem when writing journals, I guess (gotta love WordReference ♥); but it IS a problem for writing fics. I'm trying, though...

My main hobbies include drawing and writing (although I'm VERY bad at it), figure collecting, and web design. I don't include Doujinshi collecting because they're out of my reach...my collection resides inside my HD xD
Although my career can often be quite boring, I'm in fact a computer nerd and a sort of geek. Still, I refuse to use Linux.

Hetalia is the fandom that's currently eating my life, I'm in essence a sucker for all anime and manga. I watch way more anime than I mention xD (see my MAL list as reference). So, I'm in fact a big fan of a lot of series, it's just that I rarely talk about them. Particularly remarkable is my hopeless liking for shoujo manga series.

I enjoy reading from time to time, but my literature fangirling is pretty much limited just to the Harry Potter series. I'm really fond of Classical Disney movies and the whole Pixar filmography (in fact, I'd love working in Pixar ♥). I don't consider myself a gamer, but I do love most of Nintendo's games. I have also a soft spot for RPG games, and in that matter, Pokémon and the Tales Of saga have my devotion.

I find it really admirable that you're working to improve your language skills. <3 I would never be able to achieve the degree of fluency you have here in Chinese...OTL.

Oh, there's not a possible comparison x.x Chinese is...HARD. I tried Japanese and for me Chinese is even more difficult than that. Like, the makes-no-sense grammar, and the kanjis...OUCH x.x It's already hard for me to memorize the hiraganas and katakanas! xD

Yeah (balancing between Chinese and English grammar is ASDFGHJKL), but it's no excuse if you happen to be Chinese yourself. ;_; I think my mom considers my language skills a disgrace to the family...

I think my favourite Pixar movie would have to be Up. I spent the whole time either crying or laughing or crying from laughing. What about you? :D

Being objective, the best Pixar movie would be between Up and Wall-E. But, my favorite one...that's The Incredibles ^^' I was caught by it ever since I saw the trailer for the first time. It may be the action, or the original premise, I don't know; it just works for me!

Haha, it's kind of a Chinese thing to playfully insult you friends and family to show the closeness of your bonds. Or something. Personally, I think it's because subtlety had never been invented. All I know is people can call you 'fatty' as a term of endearment and you can get away with calling your parents 'old'. And maybe even your grandparents too, if everybody's feeling generous. :D?

The Incredibles is a pretty great movie. It's like one of those things you can watch over and over and OVER again and still love it every time. I absolutely ADORE the soundtrack.

Where's the aph_minibang Archives?

I've been enthralled by a few stories I read that were featured on the APH Minibang from last year (especially "A Ship In Harbor", wow!) But, I noticed my bookmark for the collection is gone. And the link to the entries and compilation does not work, even from the main lj community page.

Is there any chance that it will be re-uploaded? Those stories were so beautiful, and I never got a chance to download the file (I lacked HD space at the time). ;_;

Those works of art deserve to be shared with the world...

Woah, this is unexpected o.o I do have copies of all of the fics, but not the compilation. I'd have to create a new compilation with what I have ^^' Is that alright for you? I'll see that now...

Sorry if this seems sudden, but I was also looking for a fic from the minibang and was sad that the archive got deleted. ;__; I happened to stumble upon this post, so I was wondering if you still had a copy of "The Morning, Outside" by falling_voices and wouldn't mind sending it to me? I'm a huge huge fan of her works. If not, thank you for taking the time to read this anyways!
