Sure I do! From around the world, and that's something that makes me really happy. I've yet to meet somebody from LJ in real life (though I've met people in real life who currently have an LJ). Do I want to meet them? Of course, but I'm in a difficult situation to do that. I guess if I manage to keep in touch with them for many many years, then yes, it could be possible...
Actually, sometimes I think I care more about my LJ friends, than my RL acquaintances xD

I've never understood why people who speak *insert language other than English here* prefer to remain inside the boundaries of their own language even though they may actually understand English. They could argue it's a matter of cultural closeness, that they feel more comfortable around something that's similar to what they already know. As for me, I find excitement in the fact of trying to get in touch and to understand cultures different than my own one. And despite these superficial differences, I realize we're still similar as human beings! Similar experiences, reactions, even ways to think. More often than not, I end feeling more empathy towards people of other cultures rather than those of my own one. Yeah, I know I'm weird =P

Some random Anime reviews. Don't worry, I'll keep this spoiler-less :)

- Yesterday, I watched the 1st Eden of the East Movie (a.k.a King of the Eden). Being such a complex plot, I should have known it was a bad idea to watch it without giving a rewatch to the original Eden series xDU I kept forgetting important things, such as the ones related to the Seleçaos. I enjoyed it, nevertheless! I LOVED the animation, especially the New York scenes. Now, you may know this will continue in Paradise Lost....but I still expected some closure for this one. It didn't happen xD It feels like they made one big movie, that happened to be split in two in a random point. Nice movie, though!

- I'm so behind with Nodame Finale, it's shameful. Yesterday I watched episode 6. OMG NODAME/CHIAKI SO CUTE ♥ It was funny, both my sister and I squealed at the same time while watching it xD

- And the Tethe'alla Hen OVA! I'm currently downloading the subs, but I already watched the RAW. Loved the animation as well, and I think it wouldn't have been confusing at all...if it weren't because I was comparing it to the game. I had a hard time trying to make the OVA events fit with the game events xD I hope the subs will help me with that. I still can't tell how much they're going to rush the game, but I suspect they're already skipping the first trip to Derris Kharlan. Oh well. I'm still praying for a third set of OVAs ):

This is going to be the most pathetic excuse for an entry, I know. I'm mourning because one of my favorite sites is going to stop updating, Random Curiosity.

I met that site around 2006, looking for weekly reviews of Ouran. I started following that site when Kanon 2006 was still just a rumor, I would follow every Lucky Star Sunday, and after that, the infamous Geass Sunday. I would wait eagerly for the Clannad reviews while I would bore myself to death (along with the blogger) with the White Album reviews. I would look in awe the screenshots for Brotherhood...while looking (in awe, as well), how the blogger managed to stand the whole 8 episodes of Endless Eight, without dying in the process. ~~I almost died, I swear it~~

And of course, I would use the site as reference for every new anime season, as well as being an indispensable source for screenshots and videoclips.

So many memories, indeed. I'm going to miss that blog so damn much.

I find myself thinking now...if I were to tell my "pokeadventures" as well, would something good, magical and mysterious happen to me? \lol

Going to Pokémon mood for real, I'm a lover of the Pokémon games, you know? ~~Even if I'm a boring not-gamer person.~~ Ever wondered where does the nickname Kasumi come from? Yup, it comes from Pokémon xD

And all the hype because of HeartGold and SoulSilver brings back so many memories to me, and reminds me of how much I like to play the Pokémon games. Something that I haven't been able to do these last years, because I lack a Nintendo DS. *sob* ~~NO, I HAVEN'T PLAYED DIAMOND AND PEARL.~~ *sobs harder*

I'm trying hard to save money to buy one, hopefully, next year. But doujinshis are such a big temptation and are making really hard to actually save something ;O;

So, how many of you are getting the new games? :) Are they good? I liked the original Gold and Silver, and I enjoyed playing Fire Red and Leaf Green. So, I have big expectations for these new games ^^

I'm currently downloading Tales of Festival 2009 ♥ Never thought I'd be able to find it someday. But the best part is the seiyuus that are in there. FUKUYAMA. MIYANO. MIDORIKAWA. TOMOKAZU. EVEN KONISHI'S IN THERE.

One of the most amusing things about Olympics is people's comments.

Take Curling, for example. There's this bunch of horny Chilean guys who were totally drooling over the Russian female team, and joining their fan group in Facebook xDU Oh yeah, and complaining about their coach being an ugly old woman 8DDDDDDDDD

I rarely watch hockey at all, but I'll be watching the USA-Canada hockey match; sound promising, and everybody's talking about it! ~~Including the horny guys xD~~

Mmm, for Plushenko fans, he just said he'll be participating in the next Winter Olympic games. ~~After saying some days ago he wouldn't. He should make up his mind o.ó~~

Next week, it will be my last week being in internship. I'm kind of glad, even if it means being back to classes. I'll be actually having more free time for a while, at least, until the exam time. And also, I'll be able to pick up some things I bought ^^ (If I'm lucky, I may even scan a doujin for the first time!)

Ah well. I'm off to watching more Olympics :)

Everything started when I was looking for an idea for a crappy thing, and I came with a really crackish idea xD
Obviously, I won't have enough time to do a proper research or to read books that could be useful to my crackish thing. Still, the idea seemed attractive enough for me to want to research just for the sake of a good read.

Do any of you know a good book about the Arthurian legend? o.o Not an analysis, or the history behind the legend, but about the legend itself (If I make any sense D8).
Well, a good adaptation of it, at least. I recall my high school History teacher saying The Mists of Avalon was one of her favorite books ever, but I don't have any reference beyond that.

Since I know most of you read waaaaaaay more than I do...I thought you could know something? ^^'

I'll do my best to start watching Durarara soon. My flist talks a lot about it, so xD I'll give it a try. I can't guarantee to be able to follow it every week, though; at least, I was able to accomplish that with Nodame Finale <3
So I found an interesting and suitable site for me: MyFigureCollection.net. No need to say, I made myself an account xD
Today I ~~kidnapped~~ borrowed my cousin's NDS and played Pokémon Platinum for a while, taking turns with my sister. We make an awesome team; though she always asks for my help when facing hard trainers xD
I said some time ago how awesome it would be for me to see the "Halloween in the White House" prompt in a fanwork. Now, I found out that...HAKKA PINK made it true for me. Lots of love to her <3 ~~Now I just have to wait for Orange's World Cup doujin and I'll be happy ~~~
Speaking of doujins. I wonder how many people in my f-list is playing a certain doujin game today :B I was out the whole day, so I can't play it, yet >.<

Seems like this night I'm slightly better, but the truth is...I've had enough with feeling insecure and useless. ~~And boring as hell.~~ It's tiring...and yet, I can't stop thinking it...

After some days of having both LiveJournal and Twitter blocked here at work, I have both of them back. I don't know for how long, but I'm trying to enjoy it. Internet just isn't the same without LJ! ;O; And I had a hell of a time every night trying to catch the daily posts. Nevertheless, I admit I had a good time reading Wiki, Yahoo!News and...Fanfiction.net 8D
In the other hand, my main hard drive (the one with the SO) is close to die. It's not as critical as to lose the data in there, but it's unable to boot and the file tables are sort of damaged. Hardware failure, I'll need a new disk. If I'm lucky enough, my dad could be getting a 1 Terabyte hard drive! 8D In the meanwhile, me and my sister have to share dad's little laptop. A little unconfortable, yes ò.o
Because of my LJ instability, I apologize if I haven't commented enough >.< I still read your entries, anyways!
...is it silly that the thing I was worried about the most were my precious doujins? ;O; *lol
And the very first thing I'll do once my hard drive is back, is to watch Nodame Final's episode 1. I can't believe I haven't been able to watch it yet >.<
When I come back home today, my One Coin figures will be there, finally *-* I'm so excited I can't even ;O;
Okay, back to work. Currently fighting with ASP, Visual Basic, and regular expressions. That is, if I don't get distracted with another fic 8DDD

This happened one hour after I placed a doujin order.

Mom: "So, your work is over. Did you save the $100? ):<"
Me: "Uh...yeah, I did..."
Mom: "Excellent! Give them to me next week so I can deposit them on the bank :)"
Me: "..."

Don't think wrong, my mom will be saving that money for me to use on an upcoming travel. But the thing is, I was planning to use part of that money on the doujin order, to get the money back on April. Now, since my mom is taking the money, and the One Coin figures will cost me much more than I had planned, I made some calculations. Aaaand now, if I buy the doujin, I won't have money for my mom's birthday. No need to say, I had to cancel >_<

I'll be trying to sell some old books to gather more money. I hope somebody buys them, or else, the anthology will be sold out soon and next time I find it, it will be at an outrageous price x_x

*curses the fact of having a mom obsessed with money saving >_<*

It's time to say thank you. Thanks to both the wonderful people I met this last year, and the people who stayed with me through all this time. Thanks to the people who believe in me, and to the ones who gave me a reason to believe again. Thanks to the ones who gave me their unconditional support, to the ones who offered to me their company and who wouldn't let me fall. Thanks to those ones who always had a word of advice, or the ones who did their best to help me whenever I needed it. Thanks to the lovely people who makes me happy day after day with their cheerful (and sometimes fangirl-y ) comments xD And overall, thanks to those people who never fail to cheer me with their honest good wishes ^^

To all of you, my deepest gratitude. I'll promise I'll keep giving my best to return all those good things you give to me! ^^
I'll ALWAYS be here, for all of you. There's no harm on saying it, but I guess my true friends had already realized that xD

The awful 2009 is over; some say it's time to close that story and to start writing a new one. It's a pity that I'm a hopeless idiot who keeps believing on people and that things will turn out for the best, and a stubborn girl who likes to keep trying. Over and over.
So, huh, to write a new story? For those people who do care about me, I guess I can well give it a try.

I found out I was truly an idiot Dx I really thought Inglorious Basterds hadn't been showed here on cinemas at all, since I hadn't heard anything about it. It turns out it did! And it lasted for over a month (almost two, on some cinemas). And I missed it. Bawwwww T_T Now I'll have to watch it on DVD...
Fortunately, today I was able to watch the other movie I wanted. The Princess and the Frog ♥ Not that the story was that amazing, but it brought me so many pleasant moments from older Disney movies...the music, the designs, among other things. It left some truly beautiful messages as well, and about the story...well, I did enjoyed it! And it got me a little teary at times T_T But, the best part? THE ART. SO BEAUTIFUL. ♥ 2D ANIMATION FTW ♥♥♥

So, we're already halfway through the month.

Oficially, how many of you are indeed taking the ~~epic and tiring~~ challenge of NaNoWriMo? How are you doing with that?
~~I allow you to spam me with happy comments, as I'm really needing them.~~

Me? Nah, not doing it this year xD Maybe next time? I have tons of things to do ~~and I'm lacking the motivation to do any of them~~, and my creative side's busy planning for the Santa exchanges...

(Also, I'm accepting volunteers to smack me and get me a strong amnesia; there are several things I need to forget if I want to be able to study =P)

I have this little problem. My sister has to write a story inspired in Edgar Allan Poe's books, and she asked for my help.
I accepted (the story's for a contest, and the prizes are really tempting! >D) but the truth is...that I've never read a Poe's book D8

So I need to read one to use as a reference. I want to grasp his style and the themes of his works. And that's where my f-list can help =D

Recommend me an Edgar Allan Poe book! Hopefully something short (no more than 200 or 300 pages), but more important, an entertaining or easy to read book.
Or...you can just pick whichever you want xD As long as you like it, it's OK for me.
