I need some magic in my life

Thanks for all your kind responses to my last entry, everyone ^^' I'm slowly getting to reply to all your responses. I still don't feel fine about myself at all, but...I'm slowly working on it...
Seeing that I just can't stand to be out of a hypethe Pokémon one makes me jealous enough, I cheated and watched all of Madoka Magica in these last two days. I'ts been a while since I've marathoned a series.
Fear not, I'm not including any important spoiler here. More of an overall impression.
Considering all the hype that preceded the series, and my love for the Magical Girl genre, I was all for falling hard with Madoka and getting completely swept away with it. It didn't happen. So you could say I'm kinda disappointed for it...?
Don't get me wrong, I did like the series. It was addictive and kind of emotionally powerful at times, but it's sad to realize that it just didn't manage to make me cry or to get me all "OMFG". Maybe I had too high expectations, or maybe my love for Nanoha was too ingrained in me lol, apparently comparisons with Nanoha can't be avoided when talking about Madoka. And before you ask, the ending was also fine to me. In my case, it wasn't really a disappointment, it was a pretty sensible ending, but...I think my overall impressions about Madoka would have ended being considerably better if only the ending could have been an actually happy one. I'm all for happy endings, after all. No matter how unrealistic they are...
The fact that they did try to give a twist to the Magical Girl genre's appreciated, though. I'm all for dark twists as well. And I can actually see how Madoka can be so appealing for someone who's not fond of the genre in its classical form, or that's just not that much into it. But yeah. I guess I'm going to remain forever wondering over and over...why did Madoka do nothing to me? >>;
Oh well. Now a meme I stole from

All of these are anime songs because I fail, lol.
Tenjou wo Kakeru Monotachi by Love Planet Five (Shakugan no Shana Movie Ending). Pretty upbeat song that somehow also makes me relax a lot, it's very pleasant to hear. Not to mention all the singers are very talented ones. KOTOKO? Kawada Mami? Hell yeah \o/
TRUTH by TWO-MIX (Detective Conan Opening 5). This song just don't stop being epic no matter how old it is. TWO-MIX is just an amazing group, and it's really a pity that they couldn't record any other song for Conan after this one...
Tobira no Mukou He by Yellow Generation (Fullmetal Alchemist 2nd Ending). The old FMA had so damn good music, and this ending pretty much proves the point. So damn intense! ♥
Toki Ni Ai Wa by Okui Masami (Utena Movie Insert Song). One of the most beautiful songs ever, 'nuff said.
And because I'm a dork like this...
Tenkuu no Canaria by Mizuki Nana (Tales of Symphonia: Tethe'alla Hen Opening). Come on, it's DAH AWESOME Mizuki Nana. And it's pretty obvious I had to include this one, considering how obsessed I am with this song, lol...
